Briefly describe your testimony of coming to Christ…

As a wise man once described my journey of faith, “I was raised on my knees”. I came to know Christ through the faithful witness of my family and church family.
I affirmed my own personal commitment to Christ when I was 9 and have walked with our savior since that day.

Briefly describe your understanding of God’s calling on your life…

I believe that from a young age God called me to be engaged in ministry, and throughout my life that has taken many forms. From youth, to camp, and now to church planting. My current calling is to serve as a bi-vocational associate pastor of the Wellspring FM church plant in Bakersfield (my home town), serving alongside my wife Kate and our pastor Josh Fitzpatrick.

How did you come to the Free Methodist Church?

While I was in graduate school at Azusa Pacific University, I was looking to find a home church within the Wesleyan Holiness tradition. My last semester in grad school I was introduced to Foothill Community Church and felt immediately at home. Pastor Dale’s teaching, the church’s commitment to the community and health of the congregation, as well as the obvious commitment to empowering people at all levels of the church solidified my desire to learn more. That following year I moved to Santa Barbara and found those same qualities at the SBFMC, and realized I had found my spiritual home.
